As horrible as that all sounds, I'm not judging you. It's not really my place to begin with considering I just told you what I did. To be honest, I actually...
I respect you more than I did before. I really, really do. For anyone to do that for so long, it's amazing that you're still you. I'm kind of curious about one thing though;
Do you ever regret it?
no subject
I don't really feel sorry about the games; they were all prisoners who were never going to get off the island alive. They were just going to die anyway; if anything I kept them from being locked up on that godforsaken rock longer than necessary, and I wasn't wasting resources on them.
What happened to my father, though...
[Hmmm.]
I don't know. I'm not exactly sorry for doing it, but I don't like that it came to that, and if it could have been done another way I would have preferred that. I don't know how to describe it very well - I feel that he deserved it, but I don't like it.

[It'd still be better than being tortured and experimented on, assuming he wasn't killed outright.]
He's your dad though so I think it's natural to not like it. You and your sister are strong people for being able to handle all of it.

What about you - from the sound of it, you regret what you did...?
no subject
Yeah. I'll always regret it.

Do you prefer it here, as opposed to back home?
no subject
It's peaceful here for the most part. Even though I'm one of them, I still have to worry about getting eaten. I don't have to worry about needing a place to sleep or going hungry too, not to mention I've discovered a bunch of new things to try. It's not home-home, but it's close.
What about you?
no subject
I also have business to attend to whenever I'm returned home - it's something I've been looking forward to for quite some time, and it's incredibly important.
But...I don't know. If time really doesn't pass for us back home - as they like to claim it doesn't - then maybe I wouldn't mind staying. For quite some time, even.
no subject
I understand.
If it really is, how long would you want to stay for?
no subject
Well, whatever it is, I'd like that.
[...the last part of that, though. Good lord.]
And I'm not sure. If Alexia were here with me the entire time, I'd be fine staying here indefinitely - or as long as she wanted to, anyway.
...Alexia is my sister, by the way.
no subject
Do you think I could meet her if she ever shows up? She seems like she'd be okay just from the way you talk about her.
no subject
As for Alexia, I think you would like her, because everyone likes her. She's supposed to be perfect, and she is.
no subject
It must be nice having a sister like that.
no subject
...And it is, really. Sometimes people get grating about it, but that's hardly her fault. Again, just don't try dating her and we'll be fine.
no subject
You don't have to worry about any of that though. I promise.
no subject
[...Alfred, I'm pretty sure that you don't just ask people that.]
no subject
[Oh god damn it he walked right into that mess, didn't he?]
I don't uh...
I don't really know what I'm interested in? I think girls are attractive and everything but I just never really thought about it...
no subject
Well, I'm hardly married with two kids and a dog myself, and I'm ten years older than you. I think you have time to think about it.
no subject
But you seem like you could get any girl you wanted...

... ... ...
bert have you ever spoken to another human being in your life
like
a socially competent human being
because um]
...What makes you say that?

...Berik was probably the only normal one in their group before the walls fell but look what happened to him.
There's a reason he let Reiner do all of the talking though.]
Isn't it normal for nobles to settle down at a young age or something?
