002. [Anonymous Text - Nightmare Plot, forward-dated by a few hours]
[There's an anonymous text hitting the network sometime after the clock rolls over to the fourteenth of the month; it's one of those hours that's either extremely early or extremely late, depending on one's point of view. The ID is an unknown one, of the sort that's obviously hacked-together but poorly-done; at the same time, its owner isn't exactly caring about quality right now.]
If anyone is still alive, send me something. A message, a story, some stupid file you have lying around, I don't care. Some sort of contact. Who I am doesn't matter. I don't care if we've never spoken before.
Just send me something. Anything.
Please.

Well, since you asked so nicely. Yes, someone is here.
[Attached is a file photo of an completed incubator with a fairy nursey theme on the glass. Someone isn't sleeping just working.]
[anon text forever]
Is that thing yours, or just a convenient image?
[anon text forever]
Bah. Typical. Of course it's mine!

Nobody's dead.
[He sends that, then lays back.]
[Hell. He's not getting back to sleep any time soon. Not with that picture floating back up when he closes his eyes.]
[He picks up the phone again.]
You want a story?
[He punches in the first thing he can think of.]
Once, there was this guy who was breaking into a house by climbing down the chimney. Thing is, it was narrower than he thought, and he got stuck.
So somebody comes home and finds him, and they call the police.
The police get there, and shine a light up the chimney at this guy. The cop calls out, "Hey. What're you doing up there?"
The guy hanging there, all he says is, "Everybody's gotta be somewhere."
[anon text forever]
And how true that is, isn't it.
Something you witnessed, or just something you've heard?
[text]
Yeah. It comes to mind a lot lately, whenever I'm telling a rock to shoot lasers at a seahorse or whatever else passes for day-to-day life around here.
Just one of those stories that gets passed around the station.
[Thinking about the old, simple, normal things like sitting around drinking coffee and shooting the shit makes Blake miss it. The homesickness hits him with a hard, sharp kick, maybe all the more for how long it's been since he thought about it.]
Hey. Where're you from?

The world's still here, at any rate. If you're looking for some sort of distraction, I suppose I could tell you what I'm currently looking into, though I've no idea if you'll find it interesting or not.
[anon text forever]
And besides, beggars can't be choosers, even if they'd like to be.]
"Looking into"...?
Either way, a distraction would be lovely, and I'm not going anywhere.

Very well, then - I've been researching two similar evolutionary lines, Drowzee and Munna. Despite being superficially quite different, they do share some intriguing characteristics. First off, both appear to resemble tapirs, if that means anything to you. That's not particularly strange in and of itself, even though tapirs aren't exactly the most common of animals.
However, what is strange is that both of them are Psychic type, and both of them are noted for a particular characteristic - they use the dreams of sleeping humans and Pokemon for sustenance.

You have three doors in front of you. Behind one is a car. Behind the other two are...let's say rabbits. If you like rabbits, pretend they're an animal you don't like. Point is, you want the car, not a fluffy bunny.
Would you like to choose door A, door B, or door C?
[anon text forever]
But really, why not; it's late and clearly everyone needs something to do with themselves. So... :|a ]
Let's go with door B.
no subject
Good. Now I'm going to open door C. It's a rabbit.
Do you want to stick with door B, or will you switch to A?
